How the tool shares out your subjects
- By difficulty: when two exams fall on the same date, a hard subject gets three times the sessions of an easy one, and a medium one twice.
- By how close the exam is: a subject’s share of the day grows as its exam approaches, so the subject examined first gets its share before the others.
- The day before an exam: all its sessions go to revising that subject, even if it is your day off.
- Exam days: half the usual sessions, for the subjects still to be examined.
- Within a day: two sessions of the same subject never come back to back unless nothing else is left, and on a tie the harder subject comes first.
- Without exam dates: the tool makes a weekly timetable that repeats, sharing the sessions out by difficulty alone.
Tips for a schedule you keep to
- Start with a number of sessions you can manage every day, and add more after a week if it feels easy. A schedule you keep to does more than a long one you drop after two days.
- If you miss a day, set the start date to today and the subjects are shared out again over the days left.
- Be honest about difficulty: a subject that takes you longer is hard for you, even if others find it easy.
This timetable is fixed and rests on your own view of each subject. In Bayango your school textbook becomes quizzes and flashcards, your weak points are found from your results, and your study plan changes as the results build up.
Questions
How many sessions should I study a day?
There is no number that suits everyone. Start with what you can keep up every day and build up from there. Change the number and the timetable changes at once.
What if I miss a day?
Set the start date to today and the tool shares the subjects out again over the days left before your exams.
Can I take a day off each week?
Yes, choose it under "Day off". If it falls the day before an exam, though, the tool makes it a revision day for that subject.
How do I print the schedule or save it as PDF?
Press "Print or save as PDF", then pick your printer or "Save as PDF" in the print window. Only the timetable is printed, not the rest of the page.
I want a blank timetable to fill in myself.
Press "Print a blank timetable": a weekly grid with the number of sessions you entered, or 6 if you entered none, and their times if you set a start time.
Do you store the subjects I enter?
No. The timetable is made in your browser and nothing is sent to us. To come back to it, use "Copy link to this schedule": the link carries your subjects and dates.
