This policy explains what information softwiro.com collects, why, where it goes, and how to ask us to see, correct or delete it. It covers this website only, not the systems we build for clients, which have their own terms with each client.
What we collect
When you send the contact form: your name, email address, subject and message. With it, we record the page you sent it from and, where your browser provides it, the page you first arrived on and the site that referred you (for example a search engine). We use this to reply to you and to understand which of our pages are useful.
When you use the chat assistant ("Ask Softwiro"): the messages you type and the assistant's replies, the language you used, the time, and your IP address. If you choose to leave your name and a phone number or email in the chat, we record those too, together with the conversation. The IP address is used to limit abuse of the assistant.
When you visit any page: our web server keeps standard access logs — IP address, the page requested, the time, the referring page and your browser's user agent — to keep the site running and secure.
In your browser, not on our servers: the site stores your language and theme choice, and a record of the page you first arrived on and where you came from, in your browser's local storage. This record stays in your browser and is sent to us only if you submit the contact form or leave your details in the chat. The site does not use advertising or analytics cookies.
Who else receives it
- Google (Gemini API). To generate the chat assistant's replies, the messages in your conversation are sent to Google's Gemini service. Do not share sensitive personal information in the chat.
- Google Fonts and jsDelivr. The site loads fonts from Google Fonts and icons from the jsDelivr network. As with any web request, those services receive your IP address and browser details when your browser loads those files.
- WhatsApp. If you use the WhatsApp link, your conversation takes place on WhatsApp under its own terms.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with anyone else except where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Contact form messages and chat leads are kept in our inbox for as long as they are needed to deal with your enquiry and any work that follows, and are deleted on request.
- Chat conversations are kept up to a fixed limit; the oldest are removed automatically as new ones arrive.
- Server access logs are rotated and deleted after a short period, normally about two weeks.
- Browser storage stays in your browser until you clear it; the first-visit record is replaced after 30 days.
Your rights
Under Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law, Law No. 151 of 2020, and similar laws elsewhere, you can ask us to tell you what personal data we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and you can object to its use. Write to sales@softwiro.com and we will reply within a reasonable time. You can clear the information stored in your browser at any time through your browser's settings.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS only. Access to the inbox and to chat transcripts is limited to Softwiro staff who need it, behind a login.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new date.
