What we take on

Six areas of work

A project is delivered running and connected to infrastructure we administer. Nothing is handed over as a design file or a prototype.

Commerce platforms

Storefronts for web and mobile, with payment, inventory, and orders administered from one console — including marketplaces where independent sellers each get their own.

Operations and accounting

Internal consoles and proper double-entry accounting for the recurring work of a business: point of sale, inventory, invoicing, treasury, and production.

Sector platforms

Full systems built for one trade and the way it actually works — health, education, and logistics among them — rather than a generic tool bent to fit.

Applied AI

Handwriting and document reading, analysis, and forecasting, built into a product that already exists rather than delivered beside it.

Method

The same five stages on every engagement

The order matters: each stage depends on what the one before it established, whatever the size of the project.

01

Study

We document the existing workflow before any code is written.

02

Design

Interfaces are drafted in Arabic and English together, not translated afterwards.

03

Build

Tested production code. Nothing is delivered as a prototype.

04

Launch

Deployment onto infrastructure we provision and administer.

05

Support

We remain responsible for correction, extension, and scale after delivery.

What each area covers

Softwiro takes on work in six areas. Most projects touch more than one: an online store needs stock and accounts behind it, and a sector platform often needs a bot or an assistant in front of it. Every area below is one we have delivered in production and still support.

Commerce platforms. Online stores for web and mobile, with payments, stock and orders managed from one console. For businesses that sell through several vendors, a marketplace where each seller manages their own catalogue and orders. Our article on taking payments online in Egypt and the Gulf covers the choices involved in accepting payment.

Operations and accounting. Internal systems for the recurring work of a business, including point of sale, inventory, invoicing, treasury and production, all on proper double-entry accounting. For manufacturers this extends to running the production floor and costing it, so each order's actual cost can be set against what it was priced at. Our article on e-invoicing in Egypt sets out what an accounting system has to do under those rules.

Sector platforms. Complete systems built around one trade and the way it works: bookings, medical files and electronic prescriptions in health; teaching, exams and performance tracking in education; shipments and delivery in logistics; requests, quotations and site work in contracting and finishing.

Applied AI. Reading handwriting and documents, marking exams, analysing results and forecasting, built into a product that already exists so the output lands where people already work, not in a separate tool they have to remember to open.

Conversational and bot systems. Systems that run inside the chat apps people already use. One of ours runs a complete accounting workflow inside Telegram. We also build assistants that answer customers around the clock from a business's own information.

Infrastructure and hosting. Servers, domains, organisational email and security certificates, provisioned and maintained under our administration, so a client has one party accountable for keeping their systems running.

Not sure where your project fits?

Describe the work on the contact page and we will tell you which areas it involves. If you are deciding between an off-the-shelf system and a custom one, this article sets out how to decide, and this one explains what drives the cost of custom work.
