You run a beauty salon and you want to know, at any moment, who is booked today and when, how much the salon has earned today and expects before closing, how much commission each stylist has earned this month, and how many bookings were lost to cancellations and no-shows. The free beauty salon bookings tracker answers these from one log where you record a booking per row. The template and its page are in Arabic.
The problem it solves
A booking book tells you who has an appointment today, but everything else needs adding up: what the services actually performed earned after discounts, the commission of one stylist at 30% and another at 35%, and how many bookings clients cancelled or never showed up for. Mistakes come from a forgotten price, an unrecorded discount, or a cancelled booking that slipped into the total. The sheet does this every time you open it.
How it works, step by step
- Write each service, its price and its length in Services.
- Write each stylist, her specialty and commission rate in Staff.
- Add one Bookings row per booking: date, time, client, phone, service and stylist.
- After the service, choose the status "done" and enter any discount and payment method; choose "cancelled" or "no-show" otherwise.
- The sheet works out price, revenue and commission. Read Today, Staff and the Summary.
What each sheet does
- Settings: today's date (type =TODAY() to update itself) and a date inside the month to summarise.
- Services: the price list; changing a price changes every booking of that service.
- Staff: commission rate, the month's completed services, revenue and commission, and today's bookings and revenue.
- Bookings: the full log, with cancelled and no-show rows coloured.
- Today: today's bookings in time order, with revenue done and revenue still expected.
- Summary: today's and the month's figures, the cancellation and no-show rate, commissions, and a split by service and payment method.
A walkthrough with the sample data
These are sample clients and numbers built into the template, not real people. Today is 1 November 2026 and the summary covers October. Prices: haircut 250, blow-dry 150, colour 900, evening make-up 1,200, manicure and pedicure 300, facial 500.
- Mariam's colour: 900 with a 100 discount is 800 revenue; the stylist's 30% commission is 240.
- Amal's make-up: 1,200 with a 200 discount is 1,000; the make-up artist's 35% is 350.
- October: 20 bookings: 16 done, 2 cancelled and 2 no-shows, so the cancellation and no-show rate is 20% (4 of 20).
- Revenue: 8,500 from completed services, an average of 531.25 per service; commissions are 2,675, leaving 5,825.
- Staff: Mona 7 services, 2,750 revenue, 825 commission; Salma 3, 3,400 and 1,190; Rana 3, 900 and 225; Hala 3, 1,450 and 435.
- Payment: cash 2,600, card 4,400, e-wallet 1,500.
- Today: five bookings in order: Sara 9:30, then Yasmin and Nadia both at 11:00 (the earlier entry first), Mariam 14:00 and Jehan 16:00. Two services are done for 550, and three are still booked with 1,750 expected.
What you get
- Today's list ready without sorting the book.
- Commissions from completed services only, at each stylist's own rate.
- Cancelled bookings stay out of revenue, so revenue reflects what was performed.
- Works in Excel 2016+, Google Sheets and LibreOffice; free; 2,000 bookings.
Using the online version
The template page opens on this worked example. Type in the white cells and the grey ones update at once; add bookings through an entry form. Import your own .xlsx made from this template, export to .xlsx, or download the original file. Your data stays in your browser and is not sent to the server. Who it suits, and when it stops being enough
It suits a small salon or beauty centre run by its owner or one receptionist. A common mistake is forgetting to switch the status to "done" after the service, which leaves it "booked" and out of revenue and commission. The sheet knows only what you type. If several people must take bookings at once, or you want screens built around your salon, Softwiro can build you a custom program with a login per user and permissions. For daily expenses see the cash sheet, and for team pay the payroll and attendance sheet. To weigh ready-made options, read how to compare business software.
FAQ
How are revenue and commission calculated? Revenue is the service price minus the discount for bookings marked "done"; commission is revenue times the stylist's rate.
What does "booked" mean? A booking whose status you left empty; it is not revenue yet and shows under "expected today".
How is the cancellation and no-show rate calculated? (Cancelled + no-shows) divided by all bookings in the chosen month.
