MediaKit

Download the episode in its original voice, or a dubbed one

MediaKit is a free Android app that downloads audio and video from YouTube. When a video has more than one audio language, pick the one you understand before you download. Afterwards it compresses, converts and sorts your files on the phone.

Android 8.0 or newer. Dubbed audio is available from beta 2.3.0 onwards.

Original or dubbed audio, your choice

Not every video has several languages. When one does, they appear in the download window and you pick the language for audio and for video; the app merges the track you chose with the video quality.

Language before you downloadbeta
The original track is marked “Original” and the other languages available for the video are listed with it. Your choice is kept until the download finishes.
Audio or video
Two tabs, and every quality shows its real size before you start. The final audio file is the same size whichever language you pick.
Playlistsbeta
Tick the episodes you want and see the real total size before you begin.
Speech onlybeta
Strip music and long silences from a whole playlist on the server, or isolate the speech and remove a repeated intro on your phone.
Follow playlists and channels
The app downloads new items by itself. You can limit downloads to Wi-Fi and set a daily data cap.
AI assistantbeta
Type or say a request in Arabic: search for episodes, download a playlist, check task status. It asks for your confirmation before any download or delete.

Full processing on your phone, no internet needed

Everything here runs on the device, and jobs resume where they stopped if the app is closed.

Still using an old MP3 player? The app numbers files and folders and orders them for FAT32 the way the player expects, so they play in the right order without you renaming a thing.

Quick answers

Do I need internet?

Processing (compress, convert, sort) works offline. Downloading from YouTube needs internet, and the link is analysed on a MediaKit server to fetch the qualities and their sizes.

Is it free?

Yes, the app is free.

Does it run on iPhone?

No, Android only for now (8.0 or newer).

Beta or stable?

The beta has the newest features (audio language picker, assistant, speech isolation) and updates often. The stable build is older with fewer features.
