Softwiro MCP: Excel templates and calculators for AI

Softwiro MCP lets an AI assistant (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other apps that support remote MCP servers) calculate inside Softwiro's free Arabic Excel templates and run quick calculators, instead of guessing the numbers. The results come from the templates' own formulas and the calculators' own code. There is no key and no account, and the service does not store what you send.

Connection URL

https://softwiro.com/api/mcp

Remote HTTP (streamable HTTP), no authentication. The server answers each request on its own and keeps no session. Opening the URL in a browser shows an error on purpose: it only accepts POST requests from MCP apps.

The tools

Four tools work with the templates (about 70 Excel sheets):

  • list_templates: search the templates by Arabic or English text, for example gym.
  • get_schema: the tables and columns of a template (which are inputs and which are formulas), the settings cells and the result cells.
  • calculate: writes your data into the template and returns what its formulas calculated.
  • get_download: the link to the .xlsx file and to the online version of the template.

Two more tools work with 23 quick calculators (no sheet needed):

  • list_calculators: lists the calculators and the input names of each.
  • run_calculator: runs one calculator. 13 are Softwiro's own (VAT, BMI, calories, due date, ovulation, break-even, garment costing and fabric requirements, piece-rate pay, pharmacy margin, reorder point, no-show cost, study timetable). 10 are the Qintar gold calculators (zakat, nisab, making charge, bar and pound prices, fair-price check, sell-now, unit conversion, budget, gold vs certificates vs dollar, swapping old gold for new).

The usual order for a sheet is list_templates, then get_schema, then calculate. The assistant should read get_schema before calculate so it does not invent column names.

Examples

Start your request by telling the assistant to use the MCP. Without that, an assistant may calculate in its head and answer without calling the tool.

A template: gym memberships.

Use the softwiro MCP (the gym memberships template) for all the calculations, and do not calculate anything yourself. Read get_schema first, then use calculate.

I have 3 gym members. Mona joined on 1 August on a quarterly plan and paid 1,300. Karim joined on 15 September on the monthly plan (500) and paid 300. Sami joined on 20 October on the monthly plan and paid 500. Today is 5 November 2026. Who needs to renew, and who still owes money?

The template returned: Karim's plan ended 22 days ago and he owes 200, Mona's ended 5 days ago with nothing owed, and Sami's is active with 14 days left. In one real test the assistant first answered "about 15 days" for Sami from its own arithmetic, then corrected it to 14 after calling the template.

A calculator: VAT.

Use the softwiro MCP (run_calculator with vat-calculator) and do not calculate anything yourself. Egypt, add VAT to two items of 1,000 each and one item of 250.

Result at 14%: net 2,250, tax 315, total 2,565.

A calculator: gold zakat.

Use the softwiro MCP (run_calculator with gold-zakat) and do not calculate anything yourself. I have 100 grams of 21-karat gold and 50,000 EGP in cash. How much is my zakat?

Run on 5 November 2026: 100 g of 21K is 87.5 g of pure gold, above the nisab (85 g), the gold zakat is 15,650 EGP, the cash zakat is 1,250 EGP, and the total is 16,900 EGP. The gold calculators use live prices from qintar.app, so these numbers change with the gold price. If prices are unavailable, the tool returns an error instead of guessing. Results are indicative and are not a fatwa or financial advice.

All the numbers above are made-up examples, except the gold price, which is the live one.

Connect your app

These steps come from each app's own documentation and menus can differ between plans and versions, so check the app if a label does not match.

Claude Code (one command):

Claude on the web or desktop: open Customize, then Connectors, click + Add, choose Add custom connector, enter the name softwiro and the URL above, and add it. Then turn the connector on in the chat from the + button. Claude connects from Anthropic's cloud, which works because our URL is public.

ChatGPT: open Plugins, click +, choose Add custom MCP server, enter the name softwiro and the URL above, choose No authentication, accept the risk notice, and create it. Then start a new chat, type @ and pick it. Custom MCP servers may need a plan or workspace setting that allows them, and workspace admins can restrict them.

Cursor: add this to .cursor/mcp.json in your project, or to ~/.cursor/mcp.json for all projects:

Any other app that supports remote (HTTP) MCP servers: add a server named softwiro with the URL above and no key.

It should return the six tool names. We have tested this endpoint with direct requests; we have not tested every app version listed above.

If you can add it yourself (with a command or by editing your own config file), do it and tell me what you changed. Then check that it works by listing the tool names that appear.

If you cannot add it yourself, give me the exact steps for the app you are running in. Include only the steps you are sure about, and say plainly when you are unsure of one instead of guessing.

Limits

A request can be up to 200 KB, with up to 500 rows and 500 cells. Up to 30 calculations and 120 reads a minute per client, each calculation must finish within 15 seconds, and a few run at once. Beyond that the service answers that you should slow down and retry.

Terms of use

  • The service is free and provided as is, with no guarantee of availability or accuracy. We may change it, limit it or stop it at any time.
  • Results are indicative. They are not professional, legal, medical, tax or financial advice, and the zakat and gold calculators are not a fatwa. Check anything important with a qualified person. You are responsible for the data you enter and for how you use the results.
  • Do not use the service to overload it, to bypass the limits, or for anything unlawful.
  • The templates and calculators remain Softwiro's work (and the gold calculators are Qintar's). You may use the results in your own work. Please do not present the service as your own.
  • Gold prices come from qintar.app at the time of the request and may differ from a goldsmith's price.

Privacy

  • We do not store what you send. The service calculates each request and forgets it: your data is not saved in a database or file, and no account is needed.
  • What we count: anonymous daily totals only: how many calls each tool, template or calculator received, how many errors, and the name of the app that connected (for example claude-code). No IP address and no request content goes into these counts.
  • Server logs: like every page on softwiro.com, the web server keeps ordinary access logs (IP address, requested URL, time, browser data) for a short period, usually about two weeks. They do not contain the body of your request. See the privacy policy.
  • Gold calculators: most fetch current prices from qintar.app, which does not receive your numbers. The zakat calculator sends the gold, silver and cash amounts you enter to Qintar's calculator service to get the result; according to that service's own documentation it works without sign-in and saves nothing.
  • Deleting data: since the content of requests is not stored, there is nothing to delete. For any other question, use the contact page.
